Closed sessions
Founders, investors and operators in a closed room with the cohort, off the record and unfiltered. The format works precisely because it is not public.

BIU.VC is a student run venture capital club at Bar-Ilan University. We run closed sessions with the founders and investors building Israeli tech, hands on workshops, and a credit bearing internship track, for a selected cohort of students drawn from every faculty.
Law, computer science, economics, life sciences, engineering. No prior VC background needed.
An application and a short intro conversation. We handpick the cohort each year.
An internship track run with the BIU Employability Center, placing members inside funds and startups.
The club exists because the real education in this industry happens in conversation, not in a lecture hall. We bring the people building and funding Israeli tech into a closed room with students, and we keep the questions sharp.
Everything is built around a single cohort rather than an open mailing list. Members are selected, they commit to the full year, and the room stays small enough that people actually know each other.
BIU.VC is student run and operates in partnership with Bar-Ilan University and the BIU Employability Center. It is open to students from every faculty, and no finance background is required.
Curiosity and follow through are the filter. Spots are limited and the cohort is handpicked. We read every application and come back to you for a short intro conversation.

Deal analysis, market maps, and sessions where members build real output instead of listening to someone describe it. That came straight from member feedback: less listening, more doing.
A credit bearing path into funds and startups, run together with Dr. Keren Goldfarb and the BIU Employability Center. The club puts its members forward and the Center takes it from there. Five members were placed in its first year.
Small, handpicked, and together for the full year. Members who show up and contribute move up, into the internship pipeline and into the team that runs the club the following year.
A year ago this was an idea. What the first season actually produced:

The season opened with Ori Striechman of Swish Ventures walking the cohort through how venture capital actually works, from the inside.

Hosted inside the companies and funds themselves, off the record, with the cohort in the room.

Small enough that every member gets to ask, and the answers are not the ones given on a stage.
Founder and CEO of NSO Group and Dream Security, in a candid 90 minute fireside with the cohort on deep tech, sovereign AI, and what it actually takes to build.
Members got a written key takeaways brief afterwards, the way every session is closed out.

The members who showed up all year, at the end of year one.
Applying for the 2026–27 cohort, proposing a session, or exploring a partnership. All of it starts in the same inbox.
